From encouraging others to "Go Green" by frequently riding a bicycle to work to modeling for Ralph Lauren, Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, Julia Stenger's career is continually cycling to new frontiers. I enjoyed creating Stenger's stylized portrait that conveys three different sides of her vibrant personality. I wish her the best with her endeavors.

(Elizabeth Currid, Portrait by Tiner). From lecturing in the classrooms of USC to writing manuscripts in New York City, Elizabeth Currid is creatively inspiring others. Currid shares with the world her unique talent to objectively critique the creative economy, consisting of artists, fashion designers and musicians. Currid's paintbrush are the words she uses to describe these creative individuals and the colorful impact they leave on the world. Inspired by Currid's first published book, The Warhol Economy , I enjoyed creating this stylized portrait of her in a "Warhol" manner, consisting of multiple images. As a tribute to Andy, I included his portrait in the bottom right corner. As one of my friends and fellow creative, I wish Currid the best with her endeavors, especially as she is preparing her second book.

I tried to convey their individual personalities and high energy level. Enjoy! ...Or should I say shake it? ....just shake it. ;)

Immediately after my brother passed away, I wanted to fly far far way. I wanted to escape the immediate pain of his memory and daily reminder of absence. For awhile, I did fly way. I ran , painted and continued going to college 3000 miles away from home ....all as a method to be a bird and fly away from the pain. ...far far away. Slowly, I learned that you cannot escape the pain of grief. ...Even with 6'5" wings ;). ...Eventually, your wings get tired and you cannot fly away forever. Overtime, I slowed down and allowed myself to grieve the loss of Mark . As painful as it was ...it made me more of a complete person and now the pain of his death is replaced by remembering the happiness of his life and continuing his memory through others . (Chris Berman, Stylized Portrait by Tiner). From the dormitories of Brown University to anchoring ESPN, Chris Berman has one of the best seats to sports. In 1976, during Berman's senior year at Brown University , the football team won the Ivy League Championship. Ironically during my senior year at Brown, the football team also won the Ivies. To commemorate the event and surprise Berman, I had the team sign a football and sent it to him (with the special help of Tim Cotter, my freshman year roommate). The football genuinely surprised Berman and to return the favor he mailed me a football signed by the entire ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown crew, including, Michael Irving, Chris Mortensen, Steve Young and Tom Jackson. What makes this football extremely special to me is that he signed it in honor of my brother , similar to the football signed by Pete Carroll . (Kayne West, Stylized Portrait by Tiner). From The College Dropout to Graduation , Kayne West's albums constantly implement fresh sounds combined with innovative lyrics. Not afraid to speak his mind about political issues and take risks, West's inspiration extends well beyond his musical and entrepreneurial talents. From surviving a near fatal car crash to remembering his mother's legacy, West reminds me to constantly live each day to the fullest and cherish the memories of your loved ones . Inspired from his hit song Flashing Lights , I enjoyed creating this stylized portrait of Kayne. Enjoy!

(Ruth Simmons (C) Tiner) Approximately 6 years ago, I remember being a nervous 18 year-old eagerly waiting to depart for Brown University and begin my undergraduate studies. Before I left, I watched a 60 Minutes program on Ruth Simmons, who recently started her tenure as president at Brown University. I remember its significance, because she was the first “black woman” Ivy League President. ( Sean Tiner & Ruth Simmons enjoying Brown Football win the 2006 Ivy League Championship) Over the next 4 years, as I developed a friendship with Ruth, I remember how the media no longer focused on her race or gender and concentrated on her accomplishments. Ruth momentously secured a $100 million dollar donation from the late Sydney Frank and started a revitalization of Brown’s academics and facilities while I was there.
