A day in the life of Anthony Tashnick

From winning the prestigious Mavericks Big Wave Surfing Contest at the age of 20 to constantly pursuing bigger waves, Anthony Tashnick is catching epic swells. After spending time with Tashnick in Northern California and Pipeline, I enjoyed his courageous and lowkey mentality.

From a young gun perspective, it's fun to watch how his talent is appreciated by big wave surfing legends, including Pete Mel and Tom Carroll.

I wish Tashnick the best and hope to see him compete this year at The Malibu Invitation.

This dude is gnarly. He surfs like a champ and has lots of balls for dropping in some monster waves. I met him at Stanford Hospital after he saved his buddy from drowning at Santa Cruz. I work at Stanford Medical Center helping people find resources to pay for their humongous bill when they don't have any insurance. I had the opportunity to meet him and get his autograph. Really laid back, down to earth kind of guy. My heart goes out to his buddy, Kalani during his recovery. Peace
