Addressing Fire Hazards in Laguna Beach – Collaboration for Community Safety

As Laguna Beach continues to enhance its wildfire prevention and safety measures, it's essential to address the lingering fire hazards posed by remaining telephone poles. I recently organized a meeting with Laguna Beach’s City Manager, Dave Kiff, Mayor Alex Rounaghi, and Fire Chief King to discuss how our community can further mitigate these risks, especially in light of the devastating Palisades Fire.

Laguna Beach is actively updating its comprehensive wildfire plan, prioritizing both prevention and evacuation readiness. This ongoing effort involves a proactive approach to identifying vulnerable areas, reducing fire hazards, and ensuring our community is prepared should disaster strike.

I want to express my sincere appreciation to the City of Laguna Beach for its continued commitment to safety and its proactive approach to wildfire preparedness. By working together, we can make our beautiful community safer for everyone.
