We are all drawn to brilliant business leaders and titans. From Jobs to Bezos to Musk, these moguls revolutionized their industries and created fervent zealots around their products and services. They shine as "white holes" in a dark endless space of pedestrian businesses.  If you're not familiar with the term, "white hole," it's the reverse of a "black hole." In order to enter a white hole, you must first move through a black hole, which may be intimating as the space around you seems foreboding and the gravitational forces may even be collapsing upon you. As you push further though a black hole, you enter a state of "spaghettification" or the "noodle effect," where mass is stretched and torn apart before it is ultimately pushed through the end and exits through a white hole.  In layman's terms, starting a business is the same as entering a black hole. Memorial Day weekend is a time to reflect and remember our loved ones. This year, we remembered my brother by awarding a $2,000 memorial scholarship to a graduating senior from Laguna Beach High School. We reviewed dozens of applications from incredible students and ultimately selected a hardworking and humble student. Upon first glance, the recipient had below average grades, but that only told part of his story. When we looked past his grades, we noticed that English was his second language and he had challenged himself by taking advanced math and English classes. Additionally, he worked hard to support his family and volunteered throughout high school. Sometimes, we may put too much emphasis on certain quantitative criteria, such has having straight As or certain degrees. However, that may only tell part of a person’s story. This year’s recipient reinforced the joy in trying new challenges and how it’s important to recognize people’s courage, determination, and overall resilient...

  Earlier this year, I created a “Laguna Beach” NFT series to establish Laguna’s art culture on the blockchain. It’s the first NFT artwork series based on Laguna and a coastal Orange County town. In my free time, I enjoy testing and experimenting with various marketing campaigns and media. A few years ago, I created this public art piece for the City of Laguna Beach. It's an annual tradition to find its location each year. This year, I was excited to share the experience with my daughter. 🎨🖌️

This will be my 10 consecutive year running the event and third year as an ambassador. The run is a fun event for all running levels and features a relatively flat course with scenic views of the Pacific Ocean. The 2018 race will be held on February 4, 2018. 

This month I was honored to present my brother's, Mark P. Tiner memorial scholarship today at Cypress High School with my wife. 👩‍🎓 We wish the recipient the best and much continued success as she attends the University of California Riverside this fall. We are continually thankful for the community's support to Mark's memorial foundation at the Orange County Community Foundation.

I am honored to be selected by Laguna Beach's City Council to serve on Laguna Beach's Recreation Committee for the next two years. I'm really excited for this opportunity and look forward to volunteering and contributing to the community. This city has given so much to my family over the years and it's an honor to give back. 🌊 🌅🏄🚵🏻

I am excited to be part of the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication reverse mentor alumni pilot program. Reverse mentorship is where the mentee teaches the mentor and vice versa. Both parties pick topics that they would like to learn more about and collaborate together. For this program, I am working with Donald Suxho , a two-time USA Olympic Volleyball Player.
